This site is a tribute to Brian Wiggett. He is much loved and will always be remembered. Brian known locally as Wiggy, was an outstanding sportsman in his younger years and local legend, he was born in his mums house in 1947 in Brentwood, he went on to participate and captain many sports such as football, rugby and cricket, as well as swimming, pool and of course darts, (Although this would of been for the pub banter) He also used to manage one of the local football teams, which went on to win many cups. One of his most acclaimed sporting achievements was as a wicket keeper playing cricket, and during his career, which saw him play for England school boys and Essex 2s he caught out five England cricket captains.
Brian started work as a plumber, but did not continue in this trade as it was too much like hard work, so he went onto set up B and S decor with his dear friend Barry. he would continue in the painting profession for nearly 50 years. He was renowned for his hard exterior and protective manner, but if you truly knew him as many did, he was a kind soul and man of his word, he listened to all, and would always have time for anyone who had the pleasure to meet him. He eventually Married his life partner Pauline and between them both they had four children, who all later went on to produce many grandchildren. Always and forever in our hearts xxx
